Medical/Public Health Solutions

Our team of medical doctors, nurses, and public health experts provide oversite for the development and implementation of our PIPH education/awareness programs, organic to all of our events...from health fairs to one-day conferences, to medical forums and multi-day retreats.  With the goal to reduce the existence of health disparities among vulnerable community members, particularly economically disadvantaged communities, we offer health programs for healthcare providers, the general public, as well as  community agencies and leaders who serve them on such 'hot topics' as COVID-19 (post pandemic), diabetes and cardiovascular disease risk reduction, infant mortality and STD's, and trauma informed care, prevention and early intervention.

Medical-Public Health Awareness Programs

To 'move the needle' further on closing the health disparity gap affecting vulnerable community members, we bring the health providers, their information, and prevention/early intervention services to the public with our PIPH medical forum health fairs. Free of charge, participants gain awareness of their 'numbers' (e.g., blood pressure, sugar levels, bone densities, carotid artery status, as well as stress/anxiety levels and depression risks, etc.) and are provided with medical input for follow up action to take to move on the medical information gained. These 'engagement' events serve as powerful tools to move our patrons from awareness to action on addressing health risks.

Public Heath Engagement

Though PIPH - Community Collaboration, GGHI’s engages in ongoing interdisciplinary collaborations that include lay and professional community members in the areas of medicine, mental health, the faith community, law enforcement, politics, education, business, and more. We believe that lasting reduction and ultimate elimination of public health problems of health disparities among vulnerable racial/ethnic and other socio-economically disadvantaged groups necessarily requires: a) problem ownership of the WHOLE community, AND b) 'all hands on deck' for developing and implementing satisfactory solutions. – that is, the consumer, their community, and the system(s) that govern them. PIPH believes that collaborative community-based conversation and partnerships can only be meaningful and productive when it involves active input from stakeholders from all of these service levels.
